STAR FUCKING HIPSTERS [NY/US]
is a punk rock band that was started by Leftöver Cracks vocalist Stza and drummer Brandon (former X-Possibles) as a side project. Unfortunately, Brandon died before the band was fully formed. However, Stza continued and the band played their first shows in the Summer of 2005.
The line-up originally included vocalist Kisston from "Help Me Help Me I Cant Breathe", guitarist Jamie Toulan from Old Skull, and drummer GiGi from "Another Dying Democracy".[1] The band started playing shows in the New York City area early in August 2005. This line-up lasted for two performances before they disbanded. The following year, primarily to put a few songs together for the Leftöver Crack/Citizen Fish split release "Deadline", Stza met up with Leftöver Crack and The Slackers drummer Ara Babajian & Degenerics/Ensign guitar prodigy Frank Piegaro. Three of the seven songs produced from this session ended up on the Leftöver Crack/Citizen Fish split, leaving the remaining ones as the basis for the first Star Fucking Hipsters record- "Until Were Dead."[2]. Stza then enlisted a whole new group of musicians, again calling themselves Star Fucking Hipsters. The band now consists of Stza, Frank Piegaro (Degenerics), Nico de Gaillo (Casa De Chihuahua),Ara Slack and Yula Beeri.
